China Carbon Steel Coil Supplier
ZIVO STEEL supplies uncoated carbon steel coil in three routes: hot rolled, cold rolled, and hot rolled pickled and oiled. Settle the route here, and settle which standard system your grade name comes from; the dimensions, the order strings and the certificate lines wait one page further down each route.

Carbon Steel Coil From ZIVO STEEL
ZIVO STEEL CO., LTD. is a steel supplier and owns no mill and no rolling line. The coil is rolled by partner factories: where the factory already holds the material, the order ships from that stock, and where it does not, production is arranged. Every export market is served except the United States.
This page is the fork in the road rather than the specification. Three routes leave it, and each one carries its own thickness and width band, its own list of grade names and its own set of fields to fill in before anything can be priced. Flattening those bands into a single range would print a span that no route actually runs in, so the dimensions stay on the route pages where they belong and this page keeps the decisions that come before them.
Zinc-coated coil is a separate commercial family with its own ordering fields and its own lines on the certificate. ZIVO supplies that as well, and there is a link across at the end of this page, but a coated product never appears in a carbon table here.

What Is Supplied, Route by Route
Three routes, eleven ordering lines, every one of them supplied as coil. The table groups the grade names by route and identifies the order field that needs an explicit answer. Size and coil geometry are confirmed for the actual grade, form and partner order; no family-wide numeric band is promised here.
| Route | Grade names supplied | The field this route will not let you leave blank |
|---|---|---|
| Hot rolled | Q235B, Q355B, SS400, SPHC, S235JR, and the ASTM hot rolled coil route | The surface: as-rolled with the mill scale on, pickled, or pickled and oiled |
| Hot rolled, pickled and oiled | Hot rolled pickled and oiled coil | Already answered — the scale is off and an oil film is on, which is why it is ordered as a line of its own |
| Cold rolled | SPCC, DC01, DC03, DC04 | The temper: full hard, annealed or half hard |
Tell ZIVO the coil inner diameter and maximum coil mass your uncoiler, crane and receiving site can accept. ZIVO confirms those values against the actual offered coil before the order is placed; do not infer them from another grade route.
What is not in this family: coated coil of any kind, and any flat product that is not delivered as coil. Both exist elsewhere on this site or elsewhere in the trade; neither gets a line here, because a line here is a commitment about a carbon coil order.
Hot Rolled, Cold Rolled or Pickled and Oiled
Three routes, and the choice between them is made before a grade name is worth arguing about. Read the three descriptions against the part you are making, then follow the link into the page that carries that route's dimensions and its order string.
Hot Rolled Coil
Rolled hot, coiled hot, and delivered with the mill scale still on it unless the order says otherwise. It occupies the thicker part of the carbon coil range and it is where structural and general fabrication work starts. Grade names reach it from four different standard systems at once, which is why the hot rolled page sorts them before it prints a single dimension.
Cold Rolled Coil
Hot rolled coil taken back through the mill cold. It occupies the thinner part of the range, it is what sheet-metal, enclosure and appliance parts are usually drawn for, and it brings one field the hot rolled route does not have: the temper the coil is delivered in. Two standard families supply it here, one from JIS and one from EN.
Pickled and Oiled Coil
The hot rolled route with the scale taken off and an oil film left on in its place. It is ordered when forming, welding or painting follows soon after the coil lands and the descaling step is not one you want on your own floor. It sits in the hot rolled thickness range, not the cold rolled one, and it is ordered from the hot rolled side of the family.
What actually decides it
Thickness first: a thin part cannot be cut from the hot rolled band and a thick one is not rolled cold. Then what the surface has to do next. Then cost, which follows the number of passes through a mill — the cold rolled and the pickled routes each add processing the as-rolled coil has not paid for.
What the route does not decide
The grade. A grade name belongs to a standard system, not to a rolling route, and the same route carries names from GB, JIS, EN and the ASTM system side by side. Pick the route from the part, then read the grade off the drawing and find the standard it was written in — the table two sections down does that in one line each.
Surface Condition and Delivery Condition
Two fields travel with every carbon coil order and neither of them has a silent default. On a hot rolled order the field is the surface; on a cold rolled order it is the condition the coil is delivered in. Both are named in plain words here, because the symbol belongs to the governing standard and to the edition your order runs to. On the ASTM route that is not a stylistic choice: the free abstract of ASTM A1011/A1011M-25 does not address surface condition, mill scale, pickling or oiling at all, and those clauses sit in the paid text and in the general requirements specification ASTM A568/A568M-25a. This page prints no symbol it cannot show you the source for.
- As-rolled, with the mill scale onThe coil leaves the line the way it came off it. Whatever removes the scale afterwards — your own pickling line, shot blasting, the first cut — is a step you own, and its cost belongs in the comparison with the other two options.
- PickledThe scale is taken off before the coil ships. The surface that arrives is bare steel, which is also the reason the third option exists: bare steel left bare does not stay bare on a long voyage.
- Pickled and oiledPickled, then given an oil film for the voyage and the wait at the other end. It is supplied as its own ordering line, and the page for it carries the detail of the oiling and how it is written into an order.
- Annealed or non-annealedOn the cold rolled side the order records whether the coil has been annealed. Three of the four cold rolled lines carry that distinction in writing, and an order that leaves it open is an order that comes back with a question before it comes back with a price.
- Full hard, annealed, half hardThose are the three conditions cold rolled coil is supplied in. Which standard temper symbol each of them maps to is settled against the governing standard at order: JIS G 3141:2021 keeps the temper grade and the symbol that stands for it at clause 4.2, and the EN cold rolled route runs to EN 10130:2006. Plain words are enough in the enquiry and the symbol is set with the specification.
- Both fields end up on one sheetThe surface or the temper, whichever your route asks for, is confirmed by ZIVO sales together with you before the order and kept on file. That sheet is what the certificate gets read against when the coil lands, which is the whole reason for pinning the field down early.
Which Grade System Names Your Grade
A carbon steel enquiry almost always opens with a grade name somebody else wrote down. That name tells you which standard system the order will run in, and the system tells you which tables the certificate will be read against. Find the line you are holding and take the last column.
| Grade on the enquiry | Standard it is written in | Where the order is written |
|---|---|---|
| Q235B | GB/T 700:2006 | Q235B coil page |
| Q355B | GB/T 1591:2018 | Q355B coil page |
| SS400 | JIS G 3101:2024 | Hot rolled coil page |
| SPHC | JIS G 3131:2024 | Hot rolled coil page |
| S235JR | EN 10025-2:2019 | Hot rolled coil page |
| ASTM hot rolled coil route | ASTM A1011/A1011M-25 | Hot rolled coil page |
| SPCC | JIS G 3141:2021 | SPCC coil page |
| DC01 | EN 10130:2006 | DC01 coil page |
| DC03 | EN 10130:2006 | Cold rolled coil page |
| DC04 | EN 10130:2006 | Cold rolled coil page |
The middle column carries the edition as well as the code, and each of those editions was read off the standards body's own catalogue on 2026-09-20 rather than off a trading page. What the column does not do is settle your order. A standard is published in editions, an order is accepted against one particular edition of it, and if your drawing fixes a different one that is the edition the certificate gets read against — so send the edition you work to and it goes into the specification beside the grade.
One line is not a grade name at all. The ASTM line is written as a route, because the scope of ASTM A36/A36M-19 covers carbon steel shapes, plates and bars of structural quality, while A1011/A1011M-25 covers hot-rolled steel sheet and strip in coils and cut lengths, and heavy-thickness coils beyond its size limits are covered by A1018/A1018M-25. An enquiry that arrives naming A36 is answered on the hot rolled page, where the handling is set out in full.
And nothing in this table crosses sideways. Two names on two different lines are two ordering systems, not two spellings of one product; reading one across to the other requires full specification review and stays subject to purchaser approval.

What Your Enquiry Must State
A quotation needs the grade, finish, thickness, width, length and quantity. On carbon coil the word finish stands for a different field on each route, so the list below spells out what has to arrive with the six. Everything on it is confirmed by ZIVO sales together with you before the order and kept on file.
- The grade and the standard beside itA grade name on its own leaves the certificate with no table to be checked against. Write the grade and the standard it comes from as one line, and if the drawing names an edition, send that too.
- The route, and the field it opensHot rolled, cold rolled, or pickled and oiled — and with it the surface on a hot rolled order or the temper on a cold rolled one.
- Thickness, width and quantityThe three that set the price. Send a tolerance if your drawing carries one, because a tolerance written against one standard is not read the same way in another.
- Coil inner diameter and coil weightWhat your uncoiler will mount and what your crane will lift. These two are not decoration: a coil the line cannot take is a coil that has to be reworked before it earns anything.
- Edge condition and anything done after rollingIf the order needs the coil slit or cut to length before it ships, the enquiry has to say so, because both change the width and the coil weight the quotation is built on.
- The documents the order has to arrive withName them while the enquiry is open rather than after the coil has shipped. A document asked for late is a document that has to be chased through a mill.
- The quantity an order starts atOne coil, and at least 3 t of it, on any route in this family.
Inspection and Documents
What leaves with the coil, and what has to be checked before it does.
One request is worth making at the enquiry stage rather than at the quay: ask that the certificate names the standard and the edition your order was accepted against, beside the grade, the heat number and the measured results. A certificate that names a code without an edition cannot be compared with anything, and a comparison is the only thing a certificate is for.
- Mill test certificate and packing listEach shipment comes with a mill test certificate and a packing list.
- The certificate is the mill originalThe mill test certificate supplied with a shipment is the mill original, not a retyped sheet.
- Checked before the coil leavesBefore shipment ZIVO checks thickness, width, surface, weight, packing and labels.
- Third-party inspectionThird-party inspection, for example SGS or BV, is accepted; the inspection cost is paid by you.
- Coil label photosPhotos of coil labels can be provided.
- The specification on fileWhat ZIVO sales agreed with you before the order is kept on file, and that is the sheet the certificate is read against.

Packing and Shipment
Qingdao and Tianjin are the usual ports of loading.
Two things about the far end of the voyage belong in the enquiry, because they change what the coil needs around it: how long it will stand before it runs, and whether it will stand outside. A coil that goes straight onto a line and a coil that waits out a season are not the same shipment, even when the grade and the dimensions match.
The route matters here too. Bare steel and scaled steel do not wait the same way, which is why the oiled line exists at all and why the page for it is worth reading before a long storage period is planned. Packing, edge protection and rust prevention for a carbon coil are agreed with the specification before the order and kept on file with it, so what protects the coil is a decision on the record rather than a default nobody chose.

Frequently Asked Questions
Start from the thickness of the part and from what the surface has to do afterwards. The hot rolled routes hold the thicker band and arrive with the mill scale on unless the order says pickled or pickled and oiled; the cold rolled routes hold the thinner band and add the temper as an ordering field. If the part could be made either way, send the thickness, the width, the quantity and what the part does, and ZIVO sales comes back with the route and the grade that suit the work.
One coil, and at least 3 t. That figure is the same on every route in this family, and lead time is confirmed against the specification and the quantity once both are settled.
The grade, finish, thickness, width, length and quantity — and on a carbon coil the word finish means the surface on a hot rolled order or the temper on a cold rolled one. Add the standard beside the grade, the coil inner diameter and coil weight your line takes, and the documents the order has to arrive with. The specification is confirmed by ZIVO sales together with you before the order and kept on file.
Quotations are priced in US dollars, FOB Qingdao. Payment runs 30% T/T with the order and the remaining 70% before the coil ships.
Within 2 hours. What comes back in that time is either a quotation or the one question that is stopping it, which is why the fields listed above are worth filling in before you send.
Carbon steel coil is supplied from partner factories. Where the partner factory holds the material, the order ships from that stock; where it does not, production is arranged. Which of the two applies to your grade and dimensions is confirmed with the quotation rather than assumed.
A mill test certificate and a packing list, with the certificate as the mill original. Photos of the coil labels can be provided, and third-party inspection such as SGS or BV is accepted with its cost paid by you.
