Choose the Intended Service First
ZIVO STEEL supplies general industrial, structural and mechanical carbon steel round pipe as a supplier. This page does not claim oil casing, OCTG, certified line pipe, boiler tube or specialty alloy pipe. Tell ZIVO what the pipe must do in the assembly before a product route is selected. An ERW/welded route and a seamless route are separate candidates; SAW is not a default offer on this page and needs its own order-specific confirmation. The Q235B structural ERW route is confirmed; mechanical ERW tubing has its own order-selected grade and type, so it must not be called Q235B by default. Seamless general-service and high-temperature-service inquiries are separate standard routes, not interchangeable grades or test regimes. Exact pipe dimensions and tests need supplier/order evidence.

Give the drawing, connection method and surface requirement for the actual component.

State the process duty and acceptance criteria without assuming pressure-line certification.
ERW/Welded or Seamless Manufacturing Route
Name the manufacturing route on the request: ERW/welded or seamless. Do not use a carbon steel coil grade list as evidence that a pipe made by either process is available. Each route has its own supplier, applicable product standard, size envelope and inspection plan. If a design specifies SAW, treat it as a separate inquiry and do not place it under a default offer until the exact route is confirmed.

Pipe Geometry and End Preparation
An order needs outside diameter, wall thickness, length and quantity, followed by the tolerance basis that the connection or machining process uses. Add straightness and end preparation when they matter: plain end, cut squareness, bevel or other drawing-specific preparation. State whether the dimension is checked before or after a surface treatment. A single nominal pipe size does not resolve these receiving decisions.
OD, wall and length
Show all three on the drawing and specify which dimension controls assembly.
Ends and cut
Define end form and any cut-length tolerance only for the actual route.

Grade, Delivery Condition and Surface Protection
Identify the current product standard, grade and delivery condition for the pipe, then describe any protective surface or packing condition needed during transit and storage. Carbon steel can be supplied under different surface conditions; do not assume a finish on another steel form automatically applies here. If the pipe will be coated or fabricated later, tell ZIVO which stage is responsible for surface preparation and what must be protected at receipt.

Testing, Marking and Receipt Checks
Set out the inspection and document requirements before requesting a price. Depending on the service and chosen route, the order may need dimensional checks, material documents or additional tests; none is promised until the supplier confirms it. Ask how pipe pieces and bundles will be marked so the receiving team can match them to the purchase line and document set. Keep any certification requirement explicit rather than implied by the word “industrial.”
