Choose Section Shape and Galvanizing Route
ZIVO STEEL supplies galvanized steel tube as a supplier. Define the section first—round, square or rectangular—then define the galvanizing route separately. A pre-galvanized tube and a tube hot-dip galvanized after fabrication have different order and inspection questions even when their outer shape looks similar. This page does not make electro-galvanized structural tube a default offer. The actual shape-and-route combination must be checked for each inquiry. ZIVO can source round, square and rectangular sections through pre-galvanized-substrate or post-fabrication hot-dip routes. A pre-galvanized tube is formed from coated strip or coil; a post-fabrication tube is galvanized after forming. Do not apply substrate-coil coating designations to the latter. Tube dimensions, coating results and inspection need the actual supplier/order record.

Round, Square and Rectangular Dimensions
For round tube, state outside diameter, wall thickness and length. For square or rectangular tube, state outside width and height, wall thickness and length. Show corner, straightness and cut-end requirements when they control assembly. Do not replace these fields with a single product name such as “pre-galvanized square tube”; the shape and coating route need separate values so each can be verified. A nominal pipe size or DN designation is not the measured outside diameter. State the actual outside dimensions and wall under the named product standard; agree whether quoted mass is theoretical or measured and what the coating contributes to the shipped weight.

Pre-Galvanized or Galvanized After Fabrication
Ask where galvanizing occurs relative to forming and fabrication. If galvanized feedstock is formed into tube, define how the formed seam, cut ends and later fabrication will be handled. If the completed tube or fabricated piece is hot-dip galvanized afterward, provide the finished-piece drawing and the coating inspection basis for that route. A coating designation from galvanized coil cannot simply be applied to a finished structural tube without route-specific review.

Substrate and Coating Requirements
Name the tube substrate grade and current product standard separately from the coating designation and surface treatment. Specify whether the coating requirement applies to incoming strip, formed tube or finished fabricated item. If holes, welding or cutting occur after galvanizing, explain the downstream plan so protection and inspection can be agreed. No coating mass, layer thickness or universal performance is promised by the category name alone.

Fabrication, Coating Inspection and Shipment Protection
Define end processing, holes or other fabrication before asking for a final coating specification. Then say which features and surfaces the inspection must cover, how the tubes will be marked and how the coating will be protected in transit. Bundling and separators depend on shape, surface and route; do not carry over coil packing terms to tube without a product-specific plan.
