Round, Square and Hex Bar Routes
ZIVO STEEL sources solid 304 stainless bar in round, square and hex sections. Round bar can follow a hot-finished or cold-finished order route; condition, straightness and tolerance are confirmed for the selected source. Flat bar is an inquiry that needs a separate supplier check before ZIVO offers an exact configuration. Hollow, specialty spring and aerospace bars are outside this page’s default scope. Tell ZIVO the section shape and the part it will become before discussing an exact diameter or across-flats size.

Hot-Rolled, Cold-Drawn or Peeled Condition
The bar’s production and delivery condition belongs on the purchase order. Hot-rolled, cold-drawn and peeled or turned routes may lead to different surface and tolerance expectations; do not assume all are available in every grade or shape. State the condition specified on the drawing and what machining step follows. ZIVO checks the route and source before confirming what can be supplied.

Size, Straightness and Machining Allowance
For round bar, provide diameter, length, tolerance and straightness requirements. For square or hex stock, use across-flats or side dimensions appropriate to the section. Flat bar can be raised for a separate supplier review, but is not a confirmed default route. Then state the machining allowance between the supplied blank and the finished component, including any cut-end stock. A nominal bar size without condition and allowance can leave insufficient usable material for a precision part.

State the measurement and acceptance basis needed by the machine setup.
Material Standard, Surface and Batch Identity
Name the current bar product standard and grade required by the part, then the delivery condition, surface and inspection document needed at receipt. A stainless coil grade record cannot confirm a bar of the same name. Agree how each bundle or cut piece will carry a heat or batch reference so material documents can be matched after cutting. Additional tests depend on the actual bar route and must be confirmed for the order.
