ZIVO STEEL can arrange slitting through partner factories; the partner factory carries out the processing. State the material and required slit output first, then ask ZIVO to confirm the exact combination it can accept: material sourcing, processing coordination, inspection documents, packing and shipment. The response should name the party that performs each operation and the contact responsible for a quality issue.
Do not infer that ZIVO owns a slitting line or that every listed product can be processed to the same output. Keep the accepted division of responsibility in the quote and purchase order before work starts.
Define the Input Coil and Finished Strip
Provide the master-coil grade, product standard and edition, thickness, width, weight, inner and outer diameters, finish or coating, heat or lot and required documents. List every daughter-coil width and quantity, usable-face orientation and downstream line purpose. The proposed processor should check yield, side trim and material handling against the actual input.
Ask how each output coil will retain the mother-coil identity and which measurements will accompany it. If ZIVO sources the input separately from processing, confirm who verifies that the input meets the processor's acceptance conditions.
Agree Width, Edge and Rewind Output
Write the width and measurement method for each daughter coil, the allowed deviation, edge and burr criteria, coil ID/OD, maximum mass and winding orientation. Include camber or surface-protection conditions where the next operation needs them. Ask the processing party to mark which results it can inspect and guarantee for the material and setup in this quote.
A general equipment capability or another processor's tolerance table is not an accepted order specification. Record exceptions and any trial required before the material is committed to the line.
