Prepainted Steel Color Samples and Acceptance
Agree the physical color reference, gloss and batch appearance acceptance before ordering.
Name the color system
A RAL designation is a useful starting reference, but a screen image or printed chart is not the final appearance standard. Identify which RAL collection and code the specification uses. If the finished building or product needs a particular appearance, agree a physical master sample made with the relevant finish and substrate before treating a color number as accepted.
Approve a physical master
Approve a physical master sample of the proposed painted product and record who holds the master. The RAL reference can guide the initial request, but the actual coating, substrate and texture affect the visible result. Agree how the supplier submits an approval sample and how the approved piece is identified so later shipments can be checked against it.

Define gloss and visible face
Define the visible face, gloss or texture, viewing light and distance. If appearance matters across adjacent sheets, state where variation is assessed and whether the reverse face needs a separate finish. A digital image or printed color chart is not a controlled final reference for the shipment.

Agree batch comparison
For repeat orders, connect the approved sample to batch and lot records. At receipt, compare material under the agreed conditions, inspect handling damage and record which bundles differ. Do not mix separate lots in one visible run without agreeing how variation will be handled. The product standard alone will not settle a site-specific color dispute.
Record sample custody
Keep the master sample, approval record, paint system, drawing revision and lot labels together. State who may authorize a replacement sample and how the old one is retired. Send this record with the enquiry so ZIVO can confirm whether a partner can match it for the actual order; a listed color is not a stock promise.
