Steel Coil for Roll Forming: Start from the Profile Drawing

Send the section drawing with dimensions, bend radii, holes, cut ends, visible faces and any feature that cannot move. Mark the required finished-part checks. Add the roll-forming sequence and any punching, welding or downstream forming that could change the material choice.

If a previous profile or coil ran successfully, identify its material certificate and the approved sample. An appearance match alone does not establish the grade, condition or process window for a new order.

Provide the developed blank width or the calculation method, edge allowance and acceptable slit-edge condition. Record the line's allowed coil inside diameter, outside diameter, maximum weight, uncoiling direction and any joining or changeover constraint. These are limits of your actual equipment, not default ZIVO supply ranges.

Ask the quoted supplier to confirm the offered coil against each line limit and identify any slitting or handling step included in the quote. Keep the accepted dimensions and lot identity with the purchase order.

Attach the profile drawing and revision, target material and standard, thickness and feed width, surface or coating requirements, edge, line coil limits, forecast volume, inspection method and requested documents. Ask ZIVO STEEL to answer with a specific available configuration, exceptions and any processing responsibility for this order.

At receipt, compare the label and documents with the accepted order, inspect the agreed surface and dimensions, then run the approved trial before releasing material to the full line. Record any mismatch by lot rather than relying on a generic application claim.
